On Sunday, September 9, over 40 shaggers gathered at Razcals in Asheville for a pre-SOS party and fundraiser. Members enjoyed a buffet catered by Razcals before hitting the dance floors. There was dancing inside and outside on the new deck to favorite beach and shag tunes played by MSC member DJ Sonny Coren. Shaggers and other Razcals' patrons raised $500 for the Shriners Hospital for Children. Check out our new page - Top 25 Charts. The page will eventually be renamed and have a Top 40 Beach/Shag Music Chart for WNC compiled from charts submitted by DJs and shag clubs in the area. The page will also include the charts from the contributors. The Mountain Shag Club loves to dance. Join us at Razcal's on Sundays, Midnite Rodeo on Wednesdays and Double Olive on most Fridays. The MSC Membership Application Form is available online. The purposes for which the corporation is organized are: Social, Civic, and Charitable. It shall offer fellowship and entertainment, promote the revival of beach music, dancing and other related activities. It shall participate in civic functions and make donations to needy charities deemed beneficial to the community by its officers and members. |
